No two snowflakes are the same nor are any two clients. I consider myself an eclectic therapist when it comes to therapeutic approaches. I believe there is no formula that is written that says when they say this you say that or use this theory or that. I believe the work is an organic process through which healing comes from many paths. In working with my clients, I take into consideration your "who you are-ness" and work from that perspective. WE will explore your strengths and discover your own tried and true methods. Once we have identified these items, we will examine what has been working for you and what has not: from there we can determine if anything needs to be adjusted, thrown out, or left as is; in order to transform your vision, your thoughts, or maybe even yourself.

My services further include coaching for those who find themselves stuck in a place that is stifling growth or in the middle of a career search or change. Often the need is not necessarily clinically related, rather a person may need to sort through some of the challenges of day to day living; stressors; life changes or new adventures. Coaching is a way to get feedback and/or direction on one's thoughts, ideas, or issues that may require a second look. In addition, I offer consultation to individuals, groups, couples, companies, organizations that may need clinical or non-clinical consulting in such areas as substance abuse, trauma, marriage, child rearing/development, adolescent issues, and a host of other areas. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any coaching or consulting needs you may have.
I am a passionate public speaker available to speak on a myriad of topics ranging from women’s issues to bullying, suicide prevention among youth, and human sex trafficking prevention and awareness. My experience is diverse and so are my topics choices. I believe a speaker should be knowledgeable, dynamic, spirited, and engaging. These are the qualities I pride myself in bringing to the stage when I step to the podium. Whether a large convention hall or a small luncheon gathering, I bring my best self to fill the room with joy, hope, and consciousness that will leave the audience invigorated and ready to move to action.

I am an eclectic therapist, meaning I do not subscribe to any one therapeutic modality as I believe the therapeutic process is fluid and as a clinician, I must be the same. Some of the methods I love the most are the non-traditional options that lend to healing according to the patient; not necessarily what the book says. In an effort to meet my clients where they are, I will take the time needed to examine, with you, the core issues surrounding the problem and assist in developing solutions from that ground work. I specialize in healing work designed to address trauma and I work at the pace my client is able to manage. I have worked with survivors of trauma ranging from survivors of violent crime and homicide; adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse; survivors of domestic violence; rape/sexual assault and children of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. I believe the first step toward healing is in the therapeutic relationship and I work with my patients to provide an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality that assist with building the foundation for successful treatment. Should you prefer spiritual, Christian, or Faith-based counseling, I will accommodate your preference upon request. I am competent and comfortable working with the LGBTQ community and the families as well.
Some of the non-traditional therapeutic tools I enlist in my work include art, music, movement, mindfulness, sandtray, play therapy, and laughter yoga. Please contact me directly for further information and let’s schedule an appointment for a consultation.
